The Pacaya Samiria National Reserve is quite far from Iquitos, and the best way to get there is through the vast jungle that surrounds it. To do this, the first thing is to get to Iquitos, either by boat or by plane, which are the only 2 means of transportation that exist to get to Pacaya Samiria.
Once you have arrived in Iquito, you must travel to Nauta, a port town, where you will get on a boat and travel the waters of the Marañón River for approximately 35 minutes, it is an experience that will last a lifetime.
It is important and practically obligatory, to have the service of a travel agency that provides you with a tour guide, to help you move around in the jungle. Since the jungle is a very difficult place to go through, with similar paths that make it difficult to travel.
