Day 1. Visit Sacsayhuamán and Tour the city of Cusco.

On the afternoon of your arrival, we will explore Sacsayhuamán, known as the "Adorned Head of the Puma." This site served as the Inca ruling palace and housed a temple where their revered leader guided his people. Despite being labeled a fortress by Europeans, it's the colossal stone blocks used in its construction that astound. According to Cusco's oral tradition, approximately 70,000 individuals dedicated 50 years to constructing this palace.

Lunchtime follows, and afterward, we'll stroll through the city's main streets, where you'll be captivated by the flawless Inca stonework. Envision the time and place when the Inca civilization thrived as a great empire.

Day 2. Visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

The following morning, we'll depart from the hotel and set our course for Pisac and Ollantaytambo to discover the ingenious Inca techniques employed in terrace farming. Next, we'll journey to the Maras salt flats, located in the upper reaches of the valley, where a thermal spring releases a small stream of salt-rich water. This water is directed into salt pans, allowing it to evaporate and produce salt, a vital resource for the local community. We'll have the opportunity to observe the salt flats from the road before descending to visit them up close.

Our exploration continues with a visit to the remarkable agricultural terraces of Moray. Here, the Inca crafted terraces within deep bowls or sinks, serving as experimental sites for adapting Andean crops to varying altitudes. You can opt for a leisurely walk or simply drive to the town of Maras, offering spectacular mountain views. A picnic lunch, thoughtfully prepared by an outdoor catering service amidst the picturesque landscapes, awaits.

Day 3. Machu Picchu The Secret of the Incas

Experience a full day immersed in the wonder of the Peruvian world, where you'll witness the grandeur and spirituality of the place, delve into its history, and savor the finest moments atop the manifestation of Inca culture.

• Approximately 9:00 am: Depart from your hotel for the city of Ollantaytambo. Here, you'll explore the remarkable temple-fortress and town of Ollantaytambo, a site that has retained much of its Inca-era character. Enormous stones, transported over 16 kilometers, contribute to the site's allure, and the original ramps used in its construction still stand.

• At around 10:00 am: Proceed to the train station for the journey to Machu Picchu. This train ride is renowned as one of the most spectacular in the world, as it follows the course of the Urubamba River through the breathtaking Vilcanota Canyon en route to the Lost City of the Incas.

• After arriving, you'll have approximately 25 minutes to reach the Sacred Center. Your expert guide will provide the latest insights and personal perspectives on Machu Picchu.

• Hop on a bus for a 30-minute journey to Aguas Calientes. Retrieve your luggage and proceed to the train station to board the Vistadome train bound for the Poroy train station. Upon arrival at Poroy, a private car will be waiting for you, offering a 30-minute ride to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 4. Transfer to the airport. Flight back home.

Your Andean Exclusive representative will visit your hotel 2 hours before the departure of your flight and will accompany you to the airport to give you your final assistance in boarding your flight.
